How We Got Here
It wasn't some corporate plan - just a bunch of space nerds who wanted to create something different. Here's how it all went down:
The Lightbulb Moment
Late 2019
Sarah Chen had this idea after binge-watching sci-fi movies for a week straight. She sketched the first concept on a napkin at 3 AM - we still have that napkin framed in the lobby.
The Team Assembles
March 2020
Found our crew - designers who'd worked on movie sets, tech wizards from gaming studios, and hospitality veterans who actually knew how hotels work. Perfect storm of weird talents.
Building The Dream
June 2021 - April 2023
Construction was nuts. Try explaining to contractors that you want LED star fields in the ceiling and holographic projectors everywhere. But they got it, and honestly exceeded what we imagined.
Launch Day
May 15, 2023
Opened our doors and held our breath. First guest was a dad surprising his space-obsessed daughter. Her face when she walked into the lobby? That's why we do this.
Expanding Horizons
Throughout 2024
Added the VR Gaming Lounge after guests kept asking for it. Then came the Cosmic Spa because apparently being in space is stressful even when it's pretend. Go figure.
Today & Beyond
2025 & Forward
We're not done yet. Got plans for Mars-themed rooms, zero-gravity dining (still working out the physics on that one), and who knows what else. The universe is pretty big, after all.
The Vision Thing
"Look, I'm not gonna feed you some corporate mission statement. Here's the truth - I grew up watching Star Trek reruns and dreaming about space. But let's be real, most of us aren't getting to Mars anytime soon."
So I thought... why not bring that feeling here? That sense of wonder you get when you look up at the stars. That excitement of exploring something new. You don't need a billion-dollar rocket to feel like you're part of something bigger.
We built Astryn Forgeverse for everyone who's ever stared at the night sky and felt that pull. For the kids who draw spaceships in their notebooks. For the adults who never stopped dreaming. For anyone who wants to escape Earth's gravity, even if it's just for a weekend.
Yeah, we've got the fancy tech and the luxury amenities - we're not amateurs. But the real magic? It's watching someone walk in stressed from their day-to-day grind and seeing them light up like they're eight years old again. That's what we're really selling here.
